The college believed that competent and excellent manpower is the pre-requisite for overall development of the nation. Besides, well-versed students with high moral values and in-depth knowledge of subjects will be better placed in the society. They will also find it easier to pursue further education at learning centers of repute. CAB has been applying appropriate module and technique in the teaching curricula so as to make students competent in their fields. The methods such as seminars, research and industrial observation tours that are regular features of the College have been highly successful in enhancing the knowledge and personality of the students. Moreover, the methods applied by CAB have been amply justified by the consistent high success rate achieved by its students in the university final examinations.
College of Applied Business and Technology, previously it was known as College of Applied Business (CAB) was established in 1998, with an objective of providing to the Nation; Graduates with Knowledge and Vision.
In these 20+ years it has produced 2000+ graduates; distinctively different from the regular market graduates. Students passing out from this college have frequently found to be placed at the top of the Postgraduate studies of Universities like Tribhuvan University (TU), Pokhara University (PU) and Kathmandu University (KU). Our students are enjoying prestigious positions in business houses and financial institutions too. Simultaneously our products have completed Doctoral Programs from foreign universities with handsome scholarships.
We at CAB, have has adopted a different teaching pedagogy. Concentration is mostly on the overall development of the students with sound research base.
We have a Student Council managed and governed by the students under the supervision of a faculty member as coordinator. The council prepares and administers various student related activities throughout the year; besides’ the council also organizes inter college goodwill seminars twice a year.
CAB has given students the opportunities to compete in regional activities and the faculties to participate in regional seminars and symposium.
It has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with University of West, California which will facilitate our graduates to complete their Master degree in five years of their joining CAB, if so desired. This is an opportunity for students to save time and cost.CAB is also the member of AMIDSA. This membership helps our Faculty to share pedagogy skills, upgrade on existing Academic Contents and share experiences with the rest of member institutes; one such being the COVID on Lone Education.
Business incubation, software development competition are the added programs for the coming year.

BSc CSIT program involves, in addition to conventional lectures, a great deal of practical and project works. The program develops the underlying principles of both Computer Science and Information Technology and shows how these principles can be applied to real world problems. This program develops the skills that are essential for both computer professionals and IT specialists. The B.Sc. CSIT program provides the students with adequate theoretical and practical knowledge which will enable students to effectively participate in solving the complex problem of the IT industry.
Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) provides a fundamental education in business and management principles allowing students to specialize in one of multiple concentration areas, including business economics, administration, finance, human resources, or accounting. The programme enables graduates to explore various real-life opportunities that help them later in managing companies. It also develops sound professionals with entrepreneurship skills who can run business ventures in a contemporary or international context. So, it is a preparation for a lot more than a career in business and has national importance.
Bachelor of Information Management (BIM) blends the two strategic disciplines of information technology and management. The programme offers integrated knowledge and develops technological skills giving students a unique edge in the IT world. It develops the next generation who can apply the opportunities in the digital world to a fast changing business environment and find innovative solutions thereby contributing to society. Graduates are able to interrelate IT & management concepts or tools with managerial skills appropriately to support business analysis and operations.
Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) incorporates management concepts & reality-based skills integrating them with the latest changes in the business environment. The programme concentrates on specialized areas such as accounting, finance, human resource management, or marketing. It also builds a foundation in allied areas such as language, economics, statistics, and law that help students to understand management practices & market needs. Because of the entrepreneurial skills & functional expertise nurtured, graduates eventually become effective agents of change in society.
